MCF - Together We Will Ride... (2008)

This is the first demo that I've uploaded from a local STL band. MCF (Mongolian Cluster Fuck) will pillage your brain and rape your ears with these 4 tracks of raging metal. These guys were a crowd favorite at the ole Building R (R.I.P.). As you can tell from the above picture, their shows are major ass kickers. For fans of 3 Inches of Blood, Cirith Ungol and Mercyful Fate... mixed with Annihilation Time.

Wastelander will defy

There seems to be a lot of WASTELANDER activity coming up. Their 2007 demo (featured on this blog) is being reissued as a 7" through Planet Metal Records. You may already know that the demo was released as a tape through Zombie Fetus Records a while back.

In addition to the re-re-release of the 2007 demo, WASTELANDER is getting ready to release their debut full length, Wardrive, through Planet Metal Records in August. The album features re-recorded songs from the demo + a few new tunes + an AMEBIX cover.

If you live somewhere in the midwest, you may be lucky enough to have WASTELANDER destroy your town along with Chicago's heavy metal warriors, SUPERCHRIST. They're going out on a mini-tour in late August. The tour kick off is in St. Louis with ZUUL (NWOBHM worship) and TERRA CAPUT MUNDI (my band) August 29th.

Toxic Holocaust demo deleted / Lesson learned

You may recall me uploading the new Toxic Holocaust demo a few weeks ago. I've learned not to fuck with big labels. The new demo was released through Toxic Holocaust's new label, Relapse. Since Relapse is as big as it is, I'm sure they often search the net for copyright infringement and all that. Being as foolish as I am, the thought never crossed my mind that they would find out. But they did, and the blog was automatically removed. It's fine by me. The focus of this blog has always been on underground bands, and apparently TH's underground days are over. Oh well.

Xanadoo - Blood is Dirt (2008)

This is Xanadoo from the far off land of Singapore. These guys know the military experience first-hand (two years of military service is mandatory in Singapore). Xanadoo plays very straight forward, fast thrash metal with out being as repetitive as most "retro-thrash" bands (*cough cough* Warbringer... *cough*). The lyrics are very interesting as well. The song "Man vs. Fetus," aside from having a hilarious name, has equally humerous subject matter. A giant fetus attacking the city? Kickass! For fans of Kreator, Exodus, Slayer, etc.

Infinite Missiles - Rage Til We Die (2007)

I know it's been a while since I've posted a new demo, but this should more than make up for it. I've got a really good one this time. From Joliet, Illinois (Chicago area), here is Infinite Missiles. I saw these guys recently at Awesome Party Fest here in STL. To show their perfect mix of punk and metal, they played both a Black Flag and Manowar cover... holy shit! I really think these guys could be the next Sacred Reich or something. These guys are true ragers, through and through. For fans of FUCKING THRAAAAAAAASH

Wastelander - Demo '07

Wastelander is a metal/punk band from THE INFERNAL CITY (Lansing, Michigan). They base all of their tunes on Mad Max and other post-apocalyptic films. The production of this demo is incredible. They put in sound bites from Mad Max including the part when Lord Humongous is introduced as, "THE WAAARRRIOR OF THE WAAAASTELAAAND!" This was by far my favorite demo of 2007. For fans of Warfare, Toxic Holocaust, Midnight, and Black Uniforms.

Ghost Tower - Demo 2008

Ghost Tower is a progressive doom metal band from Bellevue, Nebraska. This shit is haunting as fuck. I'm digging it for sure. I love female fronted bands (I worship bands like Chastain and Acid). This demo is pretty rad. For fans of Candlesmass, Cirith Ungol, Fates Warning.

Cast Iron - Leather and Metal (2008)

Do you like Running Wild? Do you worship Gates to Purgatory? Of course you do, who the hell doesn't? This is Cast Iron from Hämeenlinna, Finland. They play true metal the way it's meant to be played. This sounds like it could be a long lost Running Wild demo from 1983. For fans of... Running Wild, of course!

Execution - Dismantle the Cross (2006)

Execution from Los Angeles, California is probably one of my favorite modern bands. I remember hearing Dismantle the Cross for the first time back in 2006 and being completely blown away. It wasn't until after I discovered bands like Execution and Merciless Death that I realized that speed and thrash metal were coming back. For fans of Living Death, Violent Force, Darkness, and Toxic Holocaust.

Riotor - Death and Destruction (2007)

Riotor is a rather simple thrash band from Quebec, Canada. From just reading the title, you can tell what they're all about. This demo is straight forward, death thrashing speed. For fans of Kreator, Desaster, Morbid Scream, and Protector.
