Fister - Fisted Sister (2009)

Fister, who I have just recently stumbled upon for the first time, is a doom metal outfit from here in St. Louis. This shit is good. I swear, all I want to do is smoke dope and listen to doom.... For fans of Cathedral, Electric Wizard, Saint Vitus, etc.

Denouncer - Demo '09

Denouncer... fuck. There's not a lot to say other than, "HOLY SHIT I THINK JIMMY'S GONNA KILL SOMEONE!" Denouncer is pissed as fuck and doesn't wanna hear any of your bullshit. They played recently at the Wedge opening for Black Breath. This was their first show, and one hell of a first show I might say. Denouncer contains members of Resolve, Suburban Smash and BKS. Vocalist, Jimmy, is a fucking force to be reckoned with. I felt like I was trapped in a closet with a pissed off bull. And I fucking loved it. For fans of Crossed Out, Dropdead, Siege, etc.

By the way, both the Denouncer and Lethal Enforcer demos are available on tape through the bands.

Lethal Enforcer - Demo '09

Bursting out of the St. Louis hardcore scene, Lethal Enforcer is here to fuck you up! They're a fairly new band containing past/present members of Resolve and Sweating Bullets. Their first show was at the now legendary New Years show with Hight Life and Quick Fix. LE took a break for a while until recently when they opened for Seattle's Black Breath. Their next show is... actually, tomorrow! (May 31) They're opening for Plague (C.O.C. worship from Raleigh) at the Nuthouse in U-City. For fans of Negative FX, early Agnostic Front, Negative Approach, etc.

Band of the Week? Let's Try This Out... (Black Breath)

Alright, I suck at updating this blog, but lets see if I can go a whole week without forgetting it exists.

There are a ton of bands I've been wanting to feature on this blog, but they either don't have a demo currently or I can't get my hands on one. Sooo, I've been thinking of posting a week-to-week featured band. Tight? Alriiiight.

THIS WEEK'S BAND... BLACK BREATH from Seattle

www.myspace.com/blackbreath

I saw these guys last weekend with two of my favorite locals, Lethal Enforcer and Denouncer. These blackendmetalpunx come from the same town as crust gods Sanctum, like most good crust nowadays. Their blend of American hardcore punk and old school heavy metal sounds fairly fresh considering their older-than-shit influences. They are currently on a U.S. tour with Victims and Trap Them. Oh, and their bass player looks just like Dave Chandler of Saint Vitus, no shit! For fans of Toxic Holocaust, Goat Horn, and Wolfbrigade.

More Terra Caput Mundi Updates

Yo everybody, listen up! TCM has some new jams that will make your ears bleed. We're gonna blast them up your butthole soon enough, but first we need to pound the hammers and fine tune them a bit more. We'll be unleashing a new song called "The Inquisitor's Inquisition" (Actually, I could be totally wrong about the name, fuck it!) at the Underground Uprising '09 (sponsered by Adderall and Pepsi) in Kirkwood Park July 18. The show is free so you've got no reason to not go! C'mon, it'll be fun! Righteous jams!

Ooh, and check out this bitchin' flyer I made yesterday

Distress - Progress/Regress

DISTRESS is a crusty D-beat band from Russia. If you're familiar with the apocalyptic D-beat sound, you know what you're getting into. This is fast, raw, and everything a crust band should be. For fans of Guided Cradle, Driller Killer, Wolfpack, Disfear, and of course Discharge.

Terra Caput Mundi updates

We in TERRA CAPUT MUNDI have been trying to stay busy lately. After self-releasing our debut album Warp Speed Warriors late last year, we've been playing shows here and there and writing new jams when we can. After our upcoming show at Cafe Berlin in Columbia, MO next saturday (March 7th), we'll be taking a break from live appearances to focus on writing. Until we record the new tunes, you can check out our latest release by purchasing it from either us or a slew of metal distros across the world. And for you old-school cassette-tape collectors out there, Warp Speed Warriors will soon be given a cassette release limited to 100 copies through Zombie Fetus Records. The album contains 8 tracks of ripping metalpunk including MANILLA ROAD and METALUCIFER covers.

In other news, we are sold out of our "Imperial Titan" t-shirt design. We're currently working on new shirts with a killer "Noise Marine" design. Trust me, you'll dig it.
